Donna Karan is one of the worlds leading designers. In the 80’s her fashion-line Donna Karan New York created a huge surge in the American women’s urban lifestyle movement.
She was heavily involved in the success of the typical 80’s body, which was only known in sports before, and made it into an every-day fashion statement.
In 1993 she founded the DKNY label and immediately secured a large section of the affordable fashion market.
Gradually Donna Karan added more and more accessories to her fashion collections, introducing DKNY watches and sunglasses. The DKNY watches are distributed through the Fossil Group.
Meanwhile Donna Karan does not design herself anymore, but supervises her world class design team and makes sure they keep within the distinctive DKNY-look.
