A Pulsar is a highly magnetized, rotating neutron star that emits a beam of electromagnetic radiation, and is therefore the perfect name for these watches. Not because they omit electromagnetic radiation of any kind that we know of, but because in 1970, when Pulsar was registered for the first time, a new star amongst watchmakers was born.
In 1972 Pulsar developed the very first electronic, digital watch ever! Seiko’s US division bought the brand Pulsar in 1977, and introduced a new line of high-tech, mid-range watches.
Since 1980, Pulsar is available in Germany, distributed by Seiko Deutschland. One year later, Pulsar launched its first collection of quartz watches.
A special love for details and a high requirement for quality still define the different Pulsar collections until today.
Pulsar watches are for demanding people, who want more out of their watches, like individual design besides just an incredibly reliable clockwork.
