Toy Watch is a leading brand for fashion watches and was founded in Italy in 2005. The two watch designers Mara Poletti and Marco Mavilla created a fascinating line of watches with Toy Watch. This has been widely accepted, especially by the stars and starlets of the TV and film business in Europe and the US. The success came suddenly and hit both the designers completely by surprise.
The first ToyWatch collection, that was only available in the US at first, sold out like hot cakes. Before that Poletti and Mavilla had not been able to actually earn their living with their passion, but now they engaged in their business full time.
In 2006 the financier Gianluca Vacchi bought up 25% of the company by reinvesting 50% of capital. ToyWatch has over 900 points of sale world wide and has opened up 3 flagship stores in Italy by now.
